Innovate defines energy harvesting as "a means of powering electronic devices by scavenging many low-grade ambient, or "wasted" energy sources such as environmental vibrations, human power, thermal gradients, or pressure gradients, and their conversion into useable electrical energy. Energy harvesting devices are therefore potentially attractive as replacements for primary batteries in low power applications".
Bringing together a selection of companies who have had projects funded by specific Innovate UK funding calls in the area of Energy Harvesting
This event brings together a selection of companies who have had projects funded by specific Innovate UK funding calls in the area of Energy Harvesting technologies, creating them and using them.
The event is open to anyone to attend and Innovate expects a range of industry, academia and research to attend and discuss the projects and next steps, in an open forum.
This event is part of the Energy Harvesting SIG community engagement activity and will provide valuable input to how future SIG activity can be targeted.
Below is the draft agenda, specific projects are currently deciding on appropriate presenting times and the event may close slightly earlier based on availability.
